Prior to her call to the Ontario bar, Jaclyn completed her articles at the largest family law firm in York Region, gaining valuable experience and expertise. Prior to articling, Jaclyn obtained her Bachelor of Arts (with Distinction) from Western University where she was named to the Dean’s Honour List and conferred the Western University Gold Medal for graduating with the highest academic standing in her degree program. Thereafter, Jaclyn received her Juris Doctor from the Faculty of Law at Queen’s University. Jaclyn has worked in Kingston’s Family Court as the Family Law Project Coordinator for Pro Bono Students Canada where she assisted unrepresented family litigants draft court documents. She also directed the volunteer program. Jaclyn has also worked as a Research Assistant for Prof. Nicholas Bala, completed a Judicial Clerkship, and competed in the inaugural Walsh Family Law Moot. At convocation, Jaclyn was awarded both the Nicholas Bala Award for Excellence in Children’s and Family Law and the Community Commitment Award.
Jaclyn’s practice encompasses all areas of family law including custody, access, support, property, and child protection. Jaclyn appears regularly before both the Ontario and Superior Courts of Justice.
In addition to working as a family and child protection lawyer, Jaclyn is currently Chair of the New Professionals Committee for the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts (Ontario). She is also a member of the Family Lawyers Association.In her spare time, Jaclyn enjoys exercising, yoga, travelling, and spending time with friends and family.
